Leopard in Hebrew

The apple representative in Israel (iDigital) has announced that in a month or so they will lunch a Hebrew Leopard 10.5.2 version, there is a testing program and (i will try to join), but no screen shots available at the moment.

i am not sure if this is good or bad, previous experience with Microsoft Hebrew OS had tons of bugs and incompatibilities, it was hard to understand what was the item menu or words meaning, but on the other hand it means that the company is taking Israeli customers seriously,

until 2007, the support in Israel for Apple was poor, the previous representative made no effort to support the community, no open (or closed) events, no contest of some kind, didn't try to translate the tiger and previous OS, it had obnoxious attitude towards customers, etc.

the current representative (since there is no apple in Israel this is the next best thing) is pushing apple brand through special sales, deal with other companies, launch events, open lectures, and translating the OS,

iDigital also promised apple concept store that will display future products, this month for instance they are inviting people to the mac book air lunch event in Israel (little late but better then never).

Israel suffers from product arrival latency of several month or sometimes years, especially with apple, the mac book air is just one example, for instance there is no way yet (legal) to buy a cell plan with iPhone.

so with this years entrance of iDigital i hope to see a better future for apple in Israel.
