Advertise your iPhone App for free

if you are an iPhone developer then you must know that its hard to publish and advertise your iPhone / iPad / iPod / iPad 2 (iDevice) app for free, i tried sending the app link, and free download serials to several reviews sites / blogs and Vlogs (video blogs most on youtube) and they all wanted money (and lots of it!) the prices ranged between 150$ up to 1500$!!!

first it makes the whole review idea to non legit since the publishers get paid to review certain apps and say good things about them, also if you pay more you will be featured on the main page / home page and reviewed with 5 start review, so it made me wonder how many other good apps out there didn't pay to the review sites and therefor did not reach us or got our attention,

that is why i built the Apps2C site, it is a FREE advertising site for your iPhone app, you can add a description, category, youtube video that demonstrate your app,

"Wakey-Wakey" iPhone App to help parents

I have written an iPhone/iPod/iPad app for parents that would like to help their children with their morning routine to be more joyful, and that will help the children to get to the door on time, and make it easier to the parents in the morning, more then that, kids are gaining time manage skills while using this app,

iDigital MacBook Air launch event

today i went to iDigital "MacBook Air launch in Israel", the event took place in the BigBox center in Ramat-Gan, the event included lots of mac computers stands, from the 17" to the 24" and all the laptop versions including the legendary Air.

few people attended (sadly) but, it was gratifying, i got to touch, feel, kiss (ha? who said that?) the MacBook Air, it was fun, and amazing to see how light and thin it is, it act and behave like other mac laptops with 13" screen and C2D,

fast application loader like all macs, but it has a super power saver, if you don't interact with it for a minute it will dim the screen light, if another minute will pass it will turn off the screen and hard drive, of course it is all configurable,

but the hardware support the power saving, by a unique LCD screen, extra thin hard drive and cpu that doesn't need fan for air cooling, setting it right will squeeze a cool 6.5 H of work. the only thing that bothered me that it does not have any CD, only one USB port and too low speakers, perfect for marketing guy, not good for development/gaming, but will do for reading/surfing and average day to day jobs.

in that event (beside eating a lot) we heard (again) the lacture of leopard and all its glory for the people that didn't know what mac is, we saw the iPod touch, i got to play with it its a must have, preferably an iPhone (ranchuk you were right).

the best thing is that i got to see and play (didn't expect it this soon) with the hebrew leopard, it looks great, (sorry didn't picture it), works great, no apparent bugs, there were some words left in english like: "Finder", i guess no better word for it in hebrew, also a good decidion was not to turn the whole system right to left like in hebrew windows (that suck, it ruin the whole OS experience), it is expected to be available for download in the next few weeks from the idigital home site, will keep you posted.

all in all it was a good night, didn't buy anything, but came back hangry for iPhone, AppleTV and macbook.

First Jewish iPhone

just kidding, iDigital the marvelous Apple representative in Israel has decided to market the first (legal and Hebrew) iPhone in Israel.

the announcement came 2 hours ago 20:00 o'clock Israel time, the iPhone will support Hebrew SMS messages (the hacks until today did not support it at all), the opening price will be 2,990 NIS which in current US $ rate is about 855$ it is a lot more then it should be but it is a good start that the phone has arrived legally, let the marketing begin and the prices go down.

the first store that is going to sell it is "Handy Store" located in dizingof center in tel-aviv, according to "Avishai Freez" the CEO iPhone is a world wide phenomenon and we in Israel deserve it too.

the sales will start on this Wednesday 09.04.08 in the "HandyTech" convention, this year "the::unwired" editor will join to speak on hand held technology and future, for last years HandyTech event , see the following clip:

granted the phone will not appear in the cellular companies and will not sale with a plan but in Israel's terms it is quite a revolution.
